The echo project: background.

This year we are aiming to redevelop the outer extension of the hall.

Why?

The vision for the hall will address serious structural issues.
It will mean that we comply with disability discrimination legislation.
It will make the premises more environmentally sound.
It will provide community facilities for all ages.
It will create a state of the art mid-sized (warm!) meeting room for church and community use, which Saltburn currently lacks.

Our plans have received support from a wide cross-section of the community.

We are hoping to complete the work by mid 2011. The project has been costed at £355,000. We have so far raised over £200,000 and hope to raise more through grants.

If 100 people or groups in Saltburn could give or pledge £1,000, for example – we would be there. (Already one family has pledged £5,000 over four years).

We are also able to collect Gift Aid, increasing the amount of income gained.
