The churchwardens

Anne Findlayand Steph Hanczik.  They have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the church, its property, its finances, its worship.  They run the PCC during the interregnum.  They are helped by Beth Sigsworth, Margaret Brignall and Brian Patrick.

Go to them for: help with any concerns you have about the church.  If you want to offer your gifts.

The PCC

Is an elected group of people who make decisions about the mission of the church.  This is their main focus.  They deal with the big vision questions, and small details.  They ensure that the church keeps the law!  They have final responsibility for the development of the church.

Go to them for: anything you think needs looking at collectively as a whole church.

The wardens team

Beth Sigsworth (churchwarden role when Anne is away), Betty Jones, Sarah Nicholson, Ann Dewing.  They are very much a practical team, making sure that things run smoothly, practical tasks are covered, the church buildings are secure.  They help the churchwardens prepare the agenda for the PCC.

Go to them for: any practical matters.

The leadership team

Anne, and Steph (churchwardens), Beth Sigsworth (deputy warden stand-in), Matthew Sigsworth, Margaret Bennett, Jeni Pringle (readers), Sue Welburn (reader in training), Brian Patrick (honorary!) and Margaret Brignall.  They support and care for the churchwardens, and the vicar when in post.  They are a less formal forum for chewing over visionary questions, pastoral dilemmas, teaching directions.  They listen for prophetic direction.  They respond to creative ideas.  They pray for the leadership.

Go to them for: sharing creative ideas, suggestions for teaching, sharing prophetic insights and words.

Pastoral carers:

Margaret Bennett, Sue Welburn, Elizabeth Balfre, Barbara Greene.

Of course, in the body of Christ we care for one another, but if you know people in need and would like to bring them to the attention of a visiting team, or the church in general, then Margaret and Sue are overseeing care for those who are bereaved, Elizabeth for newcomers and general visiting, and Barbara oversees our prayer ministry team.

Administrator and fundraiser.

Christine Pollard.  Well, what can we say?  She knows everything…Chris is happy to help any time during the week.  (But if you have a query on Sunday morning and can leave it till later, that would help her to join in worship with everyone else….Thanks!)
